How to remove calendar on the home page

  1) Please correct your username link (Users > Personal Settings: scroll down to Account Details, paste blog URL in the Website field, click Save Changes).

  2) Apparently your question is resolved, as I’m seeing no calendar in your sidebar. In general, to remove some of the default sidebar items of a theme, you need to go to Appearance>Widgets and add the widgets you actually want. See here too:
