How to remove the gay pride rainbow?
-
I’m feeling really frustrated with wordpress.com’s need to impose a gay pride rainbow on my personal blog reader. I don’t understand why you’ve chosen to infiltrate my blog just to make a political statement. What does my blogging have to do with your support of gay marriage? Blogging is a platform for me and thousands of others to share our views and your mandatory, irremovable rainbow is a violation of my right to hold an opposing opinion against gay marriage and I’m very upset. I’m not happy with your choice to subliminally impose your view while denying me (the consumer) the right to withdraw my consent by having the autonomy to remove the rainbow. What you see as mere celebration of a court ruling, I and others like me (see this wordpress.com’s reaction here: https://insanitybytes2.wordpress.com/2015/06/26/listen-up-wordpress/) see as a violation of first amendment rights to free speech and opinion. You’ve literally commandeered all blogging platforms, plastered your opinion on our walls, and left your users frustrated and annoyed with your lack of fairness and tolerance for opinions besides your own. I am considering moving my blog to a freer blog platform which will not trample my rights by imposing their political agenda. I’d like this removed asap. Thank you.
