How to renew registration of transferred domain?
-
Hi, I hosted and registered badabinga.com through WordPress in December, 2011. I then transferred the hosting to DreamHost in November 2012. I assumed the registration transferred too, but it did not.
Now, the registration has expired. I can’t renew the registration through DreamHost because I never transferred the registration to them. But I can’t renew the registration through WordPress either: I tried and got this error message:
“Oops, we can’t find the domain you’re trying to renew. Please contact support to get this sorted out. Be sure to let us know which domain you were trying to renew.”
I have already contacted DreamHost customer support and they could do nothing, that I had to contact the customer support of the original registrar: WordPress.
The registration expired in December and is pending deletion, can you help me?

Unfortunately, we no longer control the domain badabinga.com and cannot renew it for you, as the domain expired on December 13.
We attempted to inform your domain’s expiration via email. It was possible to recover the domain for some weeks after its expiration, but because of the time lapsed, the domain was sent back to the registrar. The domain is currently listed by them as “pending delete”. At this phase, the domain will be returned to the public market in about a week if there are no backorders or bids for the domain at their auction.
This support article describes the expiration process in detail, if you are interested: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
I am sorry I was not able to help you more in this case.
