How To Revert My domain Name To Free Plan

    I have been waiting for the right time to upgrade my free website and use the 3-month free domain name. I decided that yesterday was the day.

    However, I had many issues after purchasing a premium plan and getting a new domain name. Notably, I couldn’t get my existing website to transfer to the new domain name. So, I cancelled my premium pland and domain purchase. I did some research and tried again, but had the exact same issue.

    Everything was fine last night, but today, when I try to get to my home page, It shows as the old domain name and stays that the website is parked.

    How do I get back to my free .wordpress.com domain?

    The web domain I want to ever to is: https://homefarmhomestead.wordpress.com
    The domain that pops up and says ‘this domain is parked’ when I click on my site is: https://home-farm-homestead.com/

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    The domain is only free if you keep the Premium Plan active on your account (because the domain is bundled with the plan) so when you cancel the Premium plan, it also has cancelled your domain home-farm-homestead.com

    If you wish to recover the domain only (and not the plan) let us know and we can send an invoice for the registration fee for the domain, which is $18/yr.

    If you wish you can re-purchase the Premium plan, in which case we can re-add the domain to your account for free.

    Hi! I think I wasn’t clear enough.

    What I want is to revert to my free “http://homefarmhomestead.wordpress.com/” domain. Every time I try to view my site, it redirects me to the domain “https://home-farm-homestead.com/,” which is parked.

    I just want to go back to my original free .wordpress.com domain name on my account.

    Ahh, I figured it out! I just needed to clear my cache to get the old domain name out of my browser’s system.
