How to set up an RSS option on my website

I want readers to be able to click an RSS button on my site and include it in their feed. After reading about this, I still don’t know which widget to choose or even if the theme I have allows for it. Please explain in layman’s terms. I thought when I bought the customization option, I could accomplish this. If my theme doesn’t allow for an RSS, tell me how to identify one that does.
