How to show a domain name in the url bar

    Hello
    we have two domains, one of which (industriaeformazione.wordpress.com) is with WP and the other (industriaeformazione.it) with another provider (Aruba).
    We want the blog to be hosted on WP but would like the url’s to be always of the form http://www.industriaeformazione.it/…
    We changed the dns’ of the other domain to the WP ones, but the Aruba people say there is a problem.
    Please find below the report of the Italian domain authority. You can see that the problem is with the mx record. Aruba says their mail service cannot accept to be mapped.
    What can we do?

    Hi Paolo,

    It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/?host=industriaeformazione.it

    Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Hi,
    I updated the name servers to NSx.WORDPRESS.COM a few days ago, the problem arose after that.

    I asked the people at Aruba “Could you please provide me with the complete MX and/or other DNS records I will need to enter on WordPress.com’s end, so that my email on this domain will function?”, as in your support page http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-other-email/

    Here is their answer:
    “If you use OTHER Name Servers as authoritative, it will not be possible to manage the mail on our mail servers.
    Therefore we have no data to provide that could be set on external name servers, since you cannot use any.”

    I see. If you want your email hosted through them, I guess you can then keep you nameservers to theirs and point to us using IP addresses. But please note, we don’t have a single IP address for your site since we have your site on a number of geographically-diverse servers to improve speed and uptime.

    Since we change out the IPs we use based on when different datacenters/server go online, we don’t suggest using IP addresses.

    Our suggested route is to map your domain (by adding it via the Store > My Domains page on your site’s dashboard), add the MX records currently on your site to our Store > My Domains > Edit DNS, then changing your nameservers to WordPress.com, but since your registrar states that this is impossible, please go ahead and map your domain using A records, be sure to create at least two, pointing to two different IPs from the list below.

    • 192.0.81.250
    • 66.155.11.238
    • 76.74.254.123
    • 192.0.80.250
    • 76.74.254.120
    • 66.155.9.238

    If not, what you can do is set up Email Forwarding through us and leave the nameservers to us. Just note that when you reply with email forwarding they will see your original email. Some users don’t like this so they prefer to use full email hosting.
