How to stop site adjusting to window size change?

  Hi,

  May sound like an odd one for this day in age, however I want my website to maintain the exact same desktop view on mobile and desktop, even if this means the mobile users need to zoom out etc to navigate, it keeps all plugins/widgets etc in place and will overall make the site easier to use.

  How would I stop the site adjusting to the window size being shortened etc. I will provide link below to screenshots of my example.

  Also the site shown at the bottom is not the same site.

  Hi Kieran,

  To do this you’d need to remove or override the CSS in the theme you’re using that makes the theme responsive. This is not recommended, as it will make your site harder to us on mobile devices, and will cause search engines to penalise your site in search result rankings, as all major search engines give priority to mobile-friendly sites.

  On WordPress.com modifying CSS like this requires our Premium Plan, but we do not provide support for changes intended to break a site’s responsiveness.

  If you’re speaking of a WordPress site using the open source version found on WordPress.org and hosted with another provider, please contact support for the specific theme you’re using directly for help. This forum only provides support for sites hosted on WordPress.com, like http://sitetestkieran.wordpress.com/
