How to Switch from a Paid Plan to a Free Plan

    Hello,
    My name is Karen. I used a paid domain name and hosting through GoDaddy for my last subscription but I now wish to maintain my domain name but move from paid hosting to free hosting. What should I do?

    The site I need help with is onbooksandlaws.com. It is not hosted by WordPress.com, but it is connected with Jetpack.

    Hi there,

    If you want to host your site here on the Free WordPress.com plan, then you won’t be able to connect your domain (mapping). Even if you move your domain here, you won’t be able to make it your primary address. Both those things need a paid plan.

    If you’re interested in using the Free plan and have a free .wordpress.com, then you can move your site’s content by following this guide:
