How to turn off spacing between post lines?

  When I post recipe lists, the WordPress program adds spaces between each ingredient making the post unnecessarily long. How can I turn off that spacing?

  You can create a bullet point list instead. Follow the steps in this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-1 and use the 4th icon of the screenshot to create a bullet point list.

  Thank you for your help! Also spotted that if you keep Shift down when pressing Enter it will not add empty line.
