How to unpark a domain I bought through WordPress.com

    Dear,

    I am trying to unpark a domain that I bought, then cancelled, on WordPress.com.
    Now my domain is parked with Automattic.

    Could you please help go through the process to release the domain and provide the Auth code so that I can root my website to this domain?

    Hi Nicolas,

    You should never cancel a domain you still want to use. Aside from the risk that someone else can buy it once it’s released, cancelled domains are not released immediately and can take anything from a few days to more than a year to become available again.

    We have no way to manually release a cancelled domain, but in this case your domain should be released early next week, at which point you’ll be able to register it somewhere else.

    Alternatively I can still restore the domain to your account, but you won’t be able to transfer it away from us until you’ve owned it for at least 60 days. This is a fraud prevention measure enforced by ICANN, and applies to any domain you buy at any domain registrar.
