How to update my contents list (=my cathegories) on front page

  I am using my cathegories list as contents list on front page’s sidebar, after adding new cathegories I cannot update it.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Only categories assigned to published posts will appear in the categories widget.
