How to upload my site to my own domain

Hi,
I searched everywhere but can’t seem to find a solution. Before opening this site (http://etgarleather.wordpress.com/) i have been told that it would be very easy to move it to my own domain. I am getting the feeling that the information i received was incorrect. Can you please advise if it is possible?
I would like to purchase the $30 fonts upgrade but before i’ll do so, i must understand if or where i can find the site’s files in order to copy it to my FTP.Thank you very much!

You’re not understanding what domain means vs hosting.
If you have a custom domain or want one, it’ll cost you $18 a year, and you don’t have to upload anything to anywhere. You just follow the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
There is no FTP access to WordPress.com blogs, but you also don’t need it. If you’re purchasing the custom design upgrade, you can use whatever fonts you like without bothering with FTP at all. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#custom-fonts
Make sure you are ONLY reading instructions that relate to WordPress.COM. Most of the stuff you’ll find on the web is for WordPress.ORG and doesn’t apply to your blog at all.

I already have a domain. Following your response, i understood that i have to install a WP application on my server and build my site through this application. What i already did is to build my site via WP and thought i could have access to the files to copy it to my http://ftp..

If you are moving your site off WordPress.COM then you Export the content from here and Import it to your new site – be sure to check the box to import (export?) the media / pictures so the pictures are also moved .
