How to use a different template for homepage for better control

    Hi,

    I am using Enroute theme and created a new page using “Page” template then I set that page as homepage in Setting->Reading. However, the homepage content is still showing the default content from the “front-page” template.

    The reason I am using a static page with “page” template is that the default homepage with “front-page” template doesn’t show preview for plugin shortcode, also the style configure that I change on the block doesn’t do anything and carry over(eg: added a Grid Hover Layout with The Post Grid plugin, and tried changing font size, weight etc but nothing changes on the actual page)

    Could someone help me on this?
