How to use third party vendor theme (not affiliated with wp) with custom domain

    I have a custom domain purchased via wordpress. I would like to use a theme that I purchased from a third party vendor for this website/domain that a purchased. The domain is currently linked to my wordpress blog that I had before I purchased the domain. What can I do to use this third party theme with my custom domain? I have downloaded wordpress from wordpress.org but I don’t have the slightest idea how to use it so I would need step by step help on how to use if this is the only option.

    I have the most recent generation iMac with Mavericks updated on it. I have all blogs and domains exclusively through wordpress. HELP!

    Please go to the footer of your blog and click this link “Powered by WordPress.” That is NOT a free hosted WordPress.COM blog and we can’t help you here at WordPress>COM with it. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
