Hi @martagordon, no problem. You can set up your menu to link to individual pages, or you can link to full categories.
It looks like you’ve got the part about adding page links down, so here’s how to add categories: first edit your posts so they have categories, then add those categories to your menu. We have more information here:

i can´t still do it. I have a principal menu with 9 tabs.
when i open any tab, it always opens the homepage and i don´t still know how to write in every tab. thank you -
Hi –
Ok. Let’s start with the first menu item, Macrobiotics, and the items listed there.
Yin and Yang is set up as a category link in the menu. It’s set up correctly. The reason that there is not anything showing up when using the Yin and Yang link is because there are no posts assigned to that category yet.
Try this: publish a test post and in the post settings set the Yin and Yang category. Then, when you go back to the site menu and use the Yin and Yang from the Macrobiotics menu you’ll see that test post displayed.

Thank you Liz. Could you tell me why when i open any tab, it always opens the homepage tab?
thanks -
All the tabs in your menu open different pages for me. Only the “Home” one opens the home page.
Please see if clearing your browser cache makes any difference:

Hi Kokkieh, thank you.
I just realised that you are speaking about the English site and I am speaking about the Spanish one (macrobioticasite)
I cleared up the cache and even tried to open the site in other browser and keep having the same problem.thanks for your help.

Ah okay. On https://macrobioticasite.wordpress.com/ here’s what I recommend:
– Go to Customize > Menu .. edit your menu and delete all that’s there, since it isn’t working the way you want it to. You’ll add links back as your last step. So for now, publish the changes.
– Go to https://wordpress.com/pages/macrobioticasite.wordpress.com — are any of those supposed to be categories instead of static pages? And are any of these supposed to posts in a category, instead of pages?
– Go to https://wordpress.com/posts/macrobioticasite.wordpress.com — these are the posts that should show up in different categories. Make sure each has its appropriate category (or categories) assigned.
– THEN go back to Customize > Menu. Edit your menu, and this time add category links, rather than links to static pages. Save your changes.
Let us know if that helps! Again, we have a how-to here if you need pictures to walk you through:

Cheers!

hi Supernovia,
thank you very much. Your advice was a great of help.
Now I have other questions. If you go to the Spanish site, macrobiótica tab and then ¿qué es la macrobiótica?, there is an extra title -que es la macrobiótica- (light grey) that I don´t know how to remove
what differences are between a page and a category? I have 2 subcategories like that.
thanks,
marta -
Hi Marta,
what differences are between a page and a category? I have 2 subcategories like that.
Pages can be lots of things — static pages (like about and contact), pages you make out of blocks, or automatically generated pages for your categories, dates, etc. Even each news article can show up on its own individual page, as well as on category pages and in other places.
Categories are just a way to organize your posts through taxonomy. Tags too. You can read about them here:
So a “Category Page” is a type of automatically generated page, that’s made when you publish posts in a given category. And your menu can add a link to that page.
Does that help?

Oh, and
If you go to the Spanish site, macrobiótica tab and then ¿qué es la macrobiótica?, there is an extra title -que es la macrobiótica- (light grey) that I don´t know how to remove
That light grey thing is the name of your category.
If you add more posts that use the same category, they will all show up on that page.
If you meant to link to a single post instead of a category page, you can do that instead. And maybe your category can be the Spanish equivalent of Frequently Asked Questions, for example.
