how/where do i insert the google analytics tracking code?

    how do i insert the google web tracking code. i cannot see how to do this, despite looking for assist on the web. i think i need to go into Appearance and then Editor, except i don’t see that option

    Hi there!

    WordPress.com does not currently support Google Analytics tracking. However, we do offer built-in statistics showing you most of the same types of information as Google Analytics would display.

    You can view your site’s stats by clicking the stats link in the grey admin bar at the top of your site. To find out more about how stats are measured and reported, see the following help page:

    Jetpack Stats

    You can also install Google Webmaster Tools, which contains some of the same functions as Google Analytics:
