html missinterpreting apostroph

i want to post the fallowing code into the html editor but in the source page it writes ‘ instead of ‘ and the script doesn’t work.

Javascript is stripped out here at WordPress.com. That code will consequently never work here. You will have to find an HTML-only workaround for whatever it is you are trying to do.
Flash also is stripped out, although you can use the Vodpod widget or button to embed videos that are not in supported formats, so try that.
