HTML not showing up!

  Ok, I am trying to insert a custom HTML into the sidebar of my site, and so i paste the HTML in, and when I click save, the box changes into a different HTML code, and then it does not work. What is wrong with the box? I am using google chrome on a brand new computer.

  We can only speculate until you post the code here between backtick ( ` ) characters. There are restricted codes here and the software does strip some codes out but we don’t know if that’s the case until we see what it is.
