HTTP error 500

    I work on a school webpage (the page I am logged into right now is not the page). I went into the school page this morning as I wanted to update and possibly redesign it. I went into themes and the current theme that we have (the education theme) said that there was an update available. I clicked on update and since then I have been getting a http error 500 I cannot gain access to the webpage or to the dashboard it’s not letting me in anywhere. Can you help me with this issue?

    Hi there, all of this sounds like your school webpage is using the standalone WP software on 3rd party hosting rather than being hosted here on the WPcom platform.

    Please first try contacting your web hosting provider’s support. If they say this is a WordPress problem, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.
