I accidentally changed my username and closed my account and need it re-opened

  I accidentally changed my username without realizing it would close the account associated with it, so my name shows up differently on the blog I write for. Please help!

  Hi there,

  When you changed your username there were multiple warnings stating that you will not be able to change it back and the old username will not be available for you or anyone to use. Therefore, it’s not possible to switch back to that username anymore.

  You can, however, change your display name as that’s the one that is shown on your posts. Here’s how to do it:

  I understand that. However, now my old username shows up on the blog instead of my display name or my new username. How do I change that, then?

  Looks like you need to talk with the site administrator to fix this up. There’s nothing else you can do on you end.
