  Hello,

  I tried to create my WordPress account but I couldn’t add that specific domain name that I have already bought from NameCheap.

  Could you help me to find a way to use that certain domain of mine in my upcoming WordPress account ?

  You need to upgrade to the Personal plan and then you can map a domain you already own to a WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Thank your for the answer.

  I tried to use another domain by just adding a new word right after our brand name.
  This domain seemed to be ok to us but when I forwarded, business plan showed up automatically.

  So is there a possibility to test WordPress for free with some domain name and then update the plan afterwards ?

  My goal is to create a simple contest/landing page.

  If you haven’t already you can create a free site. The name of the site would end in .wordpresss.com but the full name wouldn’t be critical if you were planning to upgrade it in the future to a paid plan and use your custom domain name instead when you’d experimented with your free site: https://wordpress.com/start/about

  I have tried several times to create a WordPress free site but every time the business plan ($25 x 12) will appear as only choice.

  How could I change the business plan into the free plan in the very beginning (creating a site) ?

  You should be able to create a free site here: https://wordpress.com/start/about
  As I said earlier, you can choose any free address that ends in wordpress.com if you are planning to replace that address with your custom domain name when you upgrade to a paid plan at some point in the future.
