I am a longstanding WordPress User with a dedicated website but Word Press is treating me like a totally new user who needs to start up a new website.

I cannot get into my WordPress website. I have been asked to type in my email address and password (whereas usually I get straight into my website on this laptop). When I login WordPress treats me as if I am a totally new user who needs to set up a new website. How do I contact WordPress’s customer services to get them to re-instate my access to my website?

Hi there, what’s the address of the site you need help with? Once we know that we can point you in the right direction for support.

Yep, @staartmees has the right of it. It looks like you need to log out of this account you are using to post to the forums and log back in with the
scskillmanaccount. -
Thank you. I’ve now managed to get into my Website OK on WordPress. I just needed to use Microsoft Edge to get into it.

Hi there, glad to hear that we could help.
If you had to use a different browser to log in, log out of this account first (you are still logged in here as
scskillman261217) and then clear your usual browser’s cache and cookies, which will also log you out of every other website you are currently logged in on. Then shut down and close your browser. When you open your browser again, you should be able to log in with thescskillmanaccount. Cheers!
