  So I purchased 4 domain names from go daddy. I have them already and want to make a basic website. This will not be a revenue generating site, so I don’t want to pay a monthly fee which I did not know is the only option with them.
  I was told I can make a site with WordPress and then when I want to go live I can connect them. I registered an account with WordPress. When I get to step 4 it asks me to pick a domain name (but I already have one) and I keep getting stuck…am I an idiot!? What am I doing wrong? I am trying to learn…i want this to be a Sharing website…please help Me?

  On WordPress.com, there’s 2 ways to connect those domains that you’ve already purchased. It can’t be done for free though, a plan upgrade is required. https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  You can use WordPress.com for free. We offer free site addresses, but you wouldn’t be able to connect those domains that you’ve already purchased.

  Here are the 2 options for connecting a domain to our hosting.
  1. mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  2. transfer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
