I am receiving a fatal error: maximum execution time 30+2 seconds extended

    I am receiving this fatal error when trying to submit a post with a featured image on the front end and I am unsure as to how to diagnose the issue. I have entered debug mode in order to get this error but I have not received an email that links me to recovery mode to help further isolate the problem. Any ideas on how to find out what is wrong and how to fix it?
