I am SO CONFUSED!!! Posts/Pages

  I am VERY new to blogging and I am trying to figure out how to put posts on specific pages.
  I understand that you have a home page that can be static or you can have recent posts listed but what I don’t understand is how I can make a specific post attached to a specific page or sub-page. I visit other blogs to see how they have done it – they have a menu with several pages and even sub-pages and when I click on the pages, there are posts specific to the page title/topic on those pages. Other than writing my post information directly on the page, rather than publishing a post – I can’t get any posts on any of my pages other than on my home page or if I specify another page to show the latest posts.

  I hope I don’t have you all confused, because I am totally and completely lost!! I have worked with regular websites before where you type information on a page and that’s where you see it on the website and I think this is why it’s so hard for me to wrap my head around the mechanics of a blog.

  If you’re referring to a WordPress.com site, then this is done by assigning categories to posts, and which automatically leads to the creation of category pages. A custom menu is typically used to provide convenient links to category pages.

  However, http://talesfromthecrib.ca/ is not a WordPress.com site. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different versions of WordPress, with different support forums. See the WordPress.com and WordPress.org support page.
