    I am Trying to add a follower not on WordPress

    Hi,

    Followers add themselves by subscribing to your site. You can assist people in becoming followers in various ways:

    1. Send an invitation, as described in the Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers support page.

    2. Display a Follow Blog widget in a widget area. You may add an “Optional text to display to non-WordPress.com users” to the widget. According, to the Follow Blog Widget support page, the “reader will see this message followed by an email field and follow button.”

    3. Include a Follow Button Widget (no support page found) in a widget area.

    4. Display the Follow Blog button on the bottom right corner of your site. A note in the Follow Blog Widget support page says:

    Readers not logged in to WordPress.com will see a follow button on the bottom right corner of your site if you have the follow blog button activated.

    However, it’s unclear to me what is meant by “if you have the follow blog button activated,” because I am unaware of anywhere to activate or deactivate this feature, and thought it was automatically displayed on every site.
