  I am trying to build my website and I own an address hosted by WordPress. The address is https://www.christianmuzard.com
  However, when reaching step 5 of the step-by-step new site software, the software is suggesting new addresses instead of accepting mine. I am stuck there.

  Hi there,

  That address is not hosted by WordPress, as WordPress is not a hosting provider. It’s just a piece of software.

  WordPress.com is a hosting provider, and that domain is hosted with us, and already connected to a WordPress.com site that belongs to a different account than the one you’re using to post here. To make changes to the site at that domain you need to be logged into the account that owns it.

  If you want to use that domain with a new site you create in this account, you must first log into the account that currently owns the domain and transfer ownership to this account instead.
