1) Domain connection is quick — ususually a few minutes plus DNS propagation (which is anywhere from a few hours to a day or two). Transfer takes a bit longer, so if you’ll be doing both, connect then transfer.
2) Yes, we have a built-in CDN with all plans, or you can add Cloudflare to certain plans with us: https://wordpress.com/support/cloudflare-cdn/
3) Once your domain points here and is properly connected to a site, we’ll automatically add the SSL within an hour or so.
4) Honestly I couldn’t tell you the number of simultaneous connections allowed here. It’s a lot though; our servers are configured to handle very heavy traffic.
