I am trying to follow a friend’s blog and it keeps saying I don’t have a valid email address.

    What’s the problem, I’ve tried two of my valid email addresses. One of them even has a WordPress login, but it says no valid when I click follow on her blog.

    Hi, could you send a link to the site you’re trying to follow? Also, could you send the email address? If you’ll type it here it will be hidden from public view so only staff can see it. And we can use that to look for more information.

    Hi there,

    Did you add it in the Follow Blog widget at the top of that site’s sidebar?

    I tried entering your email there, and it was accepted without any errors. You should have a confirmation email in your inbox now, and once you click the link in that email you should be subscribed to the site. Just make sure you log out of your grandidea account first before you do that, as that email address is not associated with this account.

    That is what I did and got the error message. I hadn’t logged into my account the first time trying to follow her but got the error. So I logged in and tried again. Still no luck. Don’t have a clue what is going on. My email address was valid.

    As I said in the second part of my reply above, I was able to successfully submit your email address via that widget, so you’ll be subscribed to the site as soon as you click the confirmation link in the mail you should have received several hours ago.
