I am trying to update the mx record and don't know what the required number is.

Hi, I am trying to update the mx record in my DNS settings, unfortunately I am unfamiliar with your format to do so. I have the address to point the mx to, but your system requires a number to go along with it – I’m not sure what that is.

I already spoke to my domain host to see if they knew of the needed number and they are also unfamiliar.

Can you please clarify and let me know where I would find the appropriate number. Thanks.

Your current MX record isn’t correct. Do you have e-mail hosting at Justhost.com? if so, please contact them to provide you with the correct MX record.

mail.liquidgeometrymusic.com is the mx record that justhost gave me.

The MX record should point to the servers of Justhost instead of your domain. Please ask them for the IP or MX address of their mail server.

Okay, I spoke with justhost again and they said to update the A record. I updated the dns settings as follows:

    MX 1 mail.liquidgeometrymusic.com.
    A mail 173.254.28.28

Does this look correct to you?

That looks great. It might take a little while before the records are fully propagated. But if the records are correct your e-mail will start to work again soon.
