WordPress.com don’t currently accept incoming domain transfers. You’d need to keep your custom domain with GoDaddy but you could map that custom domain to your WordPress.com site by upgrading to a paid plan.

Domain mapping is a feature of all paid plans (Personal, Premium and Business) and each plan includes a domain credit which can be used to map a domain you already own. When you search for the domain there is should be a ‘map it’ option underneath, can you see it?
