I am unable to receive activation email to my gmail

  I haven’t received any activation email from your end. Can you please let me know why it’s happening and I have checked in junk/spam as well.

  It looks like your WordPress.com account has already been activated. What exactly do you mean?

  I have been trying to change my admin email in the settings and it says “This address is used for admin purposes. If you change this, we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed.” For this I haven’t received any email from your end.

  Hi bloomonlinestl, that email address is already in the system with another account (you can test this by logging out and logging in as that user.)

  Have you thought about using a gmail alias? Instead of using this:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Use this:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  You can make that +1, +whatever, +doesnotmatter … whatever letters or numbers make the most sense to you. Gmail will ignore the plus sign and anything after it. But we won’t, so it’s in effect a second email account that delivers to the same address.

  Want to give that a try? You could also just change the address on the old account that way, if you prefer, so you can use the normal address on this one.
