I am using the Plane theme and can't get excepts to work.

  I am using the Plane theme and can’t get excepts to work.

  I have typed in an excerpt and set the reading setting to summary. Does this not work with the Plane theme?

  Hi there,

  The Plane theme doesn’t support custom excerpts, so you won’t see your custom excerpts on the front page of your site. However, you can use the More Tag in any theme to get a similar effect.

  You can add that more tag in the post editor, below the text you want to use as the excerpt. Visitors will see just that text on the front page of your site, and they can click through to read the rest of the post.
