I brought a domain and can’t transfer it

  Hi I accidentally used WordPress.com instead of WordPress.org – I am now using Bluehost but I can’t fully transfer my domain until a year away. Is there any way to speed it up so I can transfer it properly? Thanks

  It is not possible to transfer a domain for 60 days following the registration date or for the 60 days period following a previous transfer. This 60 days lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived. More info here.

  Hi there,

  Since you canceled that domain within 24 hours of registration it will be released within 5 days. So, you’ll be able to register it again through Bluehost and there’s no need to transfer it.
