I cannot add plugins, although my blog is self-hosted
-
Hi. My blog used to have the wordpress.com extension, but then I bought the domain, so it became mysite.com, however, the dashboard still has the .wordpress.com. Now I cannot install plugins because it says that I am still with .wordpress.com. I want to add some plugins. How do I do this?

Though you have mapped your domain, your blog is still hosted at WordPress.com.
We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/
However, we do have several built-in features that were inspired by many popular plugins. You might find what you want by searching for it at http://en.support.wordpress.com/
