I am on able to view my father’s private blog that he invited me to. I accepted his invitation and set up a profile. However, it never takes me to the page where I enter a password.

Hi there,
Are you able to get to this page when trying to access your father’s blog? https://cloudup.com/cJ9p_k4neIN
If, after you click the log in button, does it prompt you to put in your username and password?
-
Not at all! It asks me if im registered & then once i am, it takes me to a page where it shows my wordpress profile & not his. Ive totally accepted his request to follow blog too

Please ask from your father to remove you from their Viewers page (https://wordpress.com/people/viewers/) and then to re-send you an invitation.
If this doesn’t work or you have more questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help!

Is there anybody that I could talk to you over the phone about what could be going wrong? I had him delete me and then add me again and it’s the same old routine of asking me to login when I type in his blog address. I login and it brings me right back to the same page.

That is normal. You are a viewer on his site, not a contributor, so you won’t see his site listed in your account.
However, once you are logged into your account you should be able to see his site when you go to https://bushwalker.home.blog/
I see you are using the Safari browser. Safari by default blocks us from tracking you, so we have no way to see that you are logged in when you try to visit your father’s site.
Open Safari preferences and go to the Privacy tab. Uncheck the box next to “Prevent cross-site tracking”. Then make sure you are logged in, and try to view your father’s site.
