I cannot locate my posts from a reader view – how do I show them in homepage?

    Hi All,

I am adding posts in Editor view and they show in Dashboard>Pots as expected.

However, when in Reader mode, none of the posts show in the landing home page, and basically they are just not accessible anywhere to anyone who is not in Editor mode.

    I tried few recommended actions:

Dashboard> Settings > Reading > Ticked Static Page and tried both Posts and Home page, but none of them worked.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Serena

If you want to show your posts on your front page, you mustn’t set your front page as a static page, but choose ‘Your latest posts’ – https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/

Hi! Thanks a million for picking this for me, however I have tried that options also, but it is not working! posts don’t show on my home page, just the list of static pages I have created, which is intended, but I also wanted the post to be accessible. at least somewhere!

Any advise on why it may not be working? Any wrong setting?

    Thanks a lot

https://serenavincenzi.wordpress.com/ hasn’t been launched yet. Are you talking about a different site?

that’s the one. But before launching it I thought i would be able to see how it shows. And when I click on “view site” the posts are just nowhere to be found. Is it just because it’s not launched yet? Don’t I have a chance of a private preview of what an external reader would see?

    thaks

Of course you can view your own site but no one else can, on the Interweb or via the Reader, until you launch it. Most people just publish their site with a few posts to begin with and then work on further draft posts and pages until they feel they are ready to be added. Most Blogs are an endless work in progress.

I thought so! 🙂 but my posts don’t show anywhere via Reader mode. Just as Editor in the dashboard>posts section. That makes me guess this will be the case also after publishing. So I think I have an issue here 😁

I think the only issue is your site still remains hidden. Once you launch it then things will make more sense.
