I can’t access my account or webpage

Hello, i tried to continue working on my new site but my page just reloaded and i was given this message; ‘Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ‘>= 7.2.5′. You are running 7.0.33.’

I then tried to log onto my wordpress to see if i could update my account however when i tried to log in it said that my email was not recognised. I managed to log onto wordpress.com with my email all ok but for some reason wordpress.org just wont have it.

Can you help me update my site and tell me why i cant access my account?

    thanks, Will

  • Hi,

Can you share the URL of your website?

I’m not seeing any WordPress.com sites associated with the user account you are posting from. This frequently means that you have a site using the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org, but hosted elsewhere.

We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  • This is likely an issue you’ll want to bring up with your webhost. I suspect that is the advice that the WordPress.org forum members will give you.
