I can't change my "Theme"
-
I don’t have the right permissions to change my theme. How do I change it? I own the domain, etc… but it won’t let me change the theme on my main blog/website.
Please help!!!
Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you the Admin of that blog? You go to the dashboard Appearance->Themes page and pick a new theme.

This blog was shared and what I thought was completely transferred to me. However, after research I decided that I must have only been added as an editor. I contacted the previous owner and they also couldn’t change the theme or users. Keep in mind this is the same person who invited me as a contributor or editor to the blog. However the Appearance and User buttons are no longer there.

Hi there,
You are an editor on the blog at summertuesdays.com, and editors can’t make changes to things like the blog’s theme. You can read about the permissions for each kind of user on a blog here: User Roles
It sounds like the other person you contacted is also an editor, rather than an administrator, on this blog. The original owner will need to log in (with the WordPress.com account used to create the blog) to manage the blog’s theme and the users on the blog.
If the original owner can’t remember what account was used to create the blog, they will need to contact our account recovery team to get help regaining access to the right account. They can do that here:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
They can click the “Need More Help?” link next to the button, and fill out the form. Our account recovery team will respond by email to discuss the details in private.
