I can't publish a page or article, I don't get the confirmation mail to do so

  Hi,
  I’ve been trying to create my website by creating pages and a menu on my website.
  I can create a page or an article, but I cannot publish it.
  It says I should get a confirmation email to publish the page, I don’t get it so I press on ‘resend the email’ but it doesn’t work either. Of course I get other emails from wordpress and I’ve check that I have given the correct email.
  I really need to create this website fast for my business and I’ve juste spent quite a lot of money to do so with wordpress….So I hope this can be fixed today.
  Please let me know what can be done ASAP.
