I can't seem to update (NOT upgrade) my version of WordPress.

  I don’t get a notification asking if I’d like to update and can’t find it anywhere. I can’t access features like Plugins (I don’t even have a Plugins bar on my Dashboard). Help!!

  Hi there,

  Since your blog is hosted here at WordPress.com, you don’t need to worry about updating the software — we take care of that for you. :) You only have to worry about updates if you have a self-hosted, WordPress.org blog.

  To clarify, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different entities. You can read more about the differences here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

  Another difference is that plugins can’t be uploaded to blogs here at WordPress.com, for security reasons. That’s a feature of WordPress.org blogs. We have more about that here: Plugins
