Hi there,
We aren’t mindreaders here so please provide details. What did you change it from ie. what was the URL before you changed it? Are you attempting to domain map without purchasing a domain mapping upgrade? -
I changed the WordPress URL and now I cant get access to my dashboard, all it says is cannot find the server failed to open page.
Also I want my domain address to be www. instead of http://

There is no domain mapping upgrade for philippamccoshphotography.co.uk. If you would like to use this domain you will first need to set up domain mapping.
Domain mapping is a paid upgrade that costs $13.00 per domain, per year. This fee is unrelated to the amount you pay your registrar for your domain itself. You will need to remember to continue renewing your domain with your registrar even after you have mapped it to WordPress.com.
In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. See here for mapping an existing domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

That’s not possible. The redundant character wasting “www’ is actually strip out of the URL. Every time a “www” linked i clicked there’s a redirect to the same URL without the “www”.
www is an old protocol from back when everything was under separate server hardware. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc.
These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters.

I’m visually challenged and want to correct the typos I made above.

The URL was http://69.89.31.166/~philipz8/ and I changed it to philippamccoshphotography.co.uk
What is domain mapping?
Im very new to all this, its a whole new language to me, please bear with me

Neither of those URLs refers to a blog hosted here at WordPress.com. They refer to a blog hosted elsewhere, using software from WordPress.ORG, which is a different version from ours. Go to their Support forums for assistance on that.

http://69.89.31.166/~philipz8/ is NOT a free hosted WordPress.com and you are posting to the wrong support forum. Note that we do not provide support here at WordPress.COM for any installs of WordPress.ORG software. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs being hosted right here on this multiuser blogging platform.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I dont understand. I downloaded wordpress.com through my Bluehost account. I have a WordPress.com login and was using the dashboard with Prophoto (www.prophoto.com) theme added on. Since I changed the WordPress URL address the page loading fails and says it cant find the server
