I Deleted My WordPress Site on Accident
-
Hey, I’m currently attempting to swap my WordPress Website from Hostgator to Bluehost. I deleted my HostGator WordPress Blog, in an attempt to start fresh and make a new WordPress blog using the same domain on Bluehost.
I’ve recently changed my hosting service from GoDaddy to Bluehost. I found out I was hosting my domain on GoDaddy, and hosting my WordPress website on HostGator. I was hoping to start fresh, transferred my domain to Bluehost and deleted my WordPress site from HostGator because it was stopping me from creating a WordPress site on BlueHost. I then attempted to create a WordPress Site on Bluehost using my domain, It creates the website but when I click to login to wordpress it gives me a 404 error, no website, no wordpress admin panel, nothing.
I think that in deleting my wordpress site on Hostgator, it banned my domain from creating a wordpress website with my domain on Bluehost. Can I restore my website, swap it over, and start fresh with a brand new WordPress Blog? (Had a hacker interupt my last attempt at making my website and want to start fresh with all new code)
I’d like to host my domain name and website on hostgator please help me recover my website and figure this out properly.

HI there,
You’ve posted in the support forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We’re not the same thing as the open source WordPress software you’re using at Hostgator and Bluehost, and we cannot help you with any aspect of a site hosted with either of those services, as we don’t have access to their servers.
If you’ve deleted a site with Hostgator and you did not keep your own backups of the site, support at Hostgator are the only people who might be able to help you restore the site, though that might depend on whether your hosting plan with them included automatic backups or not.
and deleted my WordPress site from HostGator because it was stopping me from creating a WordPress site on BlueHost
That is highly unlikely, as Hostgator and Bluehost are two completely separate companies whose servers are not in any way connected, so Bluehost wouldn’t even have a way to know if you also had a site on Hostgator. Please contact Bluehost support directly in that regard, as you should have done when you first ran into the issue you’re describing here.
