I didn’t create the site- will closing my account still delete it?

    I was using this account for a work website, and I’ve since left the company. I was wanting to delete the account, but when it says it’s going to delete the site, it scares me. I didn’t create the site, and I’m only one of several administrators, so will it delete the site if I delete my account? What all will it delete on the sites I’ve added pages and posts to?

    Hi there,

    The site, http://preventionandhealthcare.ou.edu/, is not hosted with us. It’s just connected to your WordPress.com account via a plugin called Jetpack. And your account is not the owner of the Jetpack connection either, so closing your account should not have any effect on the site at all.

    However, you might want to give the site owner/admin a heads up as this won’t remove your admin account on the site itself. It will only close the WordPress.com account and remove your access via our system, but your admin account on the site will still exist. That will need to be removed by another admin on the site.
