I do not have the option to choose a .wordpress domain

    I had a free WordPress account in the past, and remember I was able to choose a site URL with the .wordpress.com domain. I recently opened up this new account, and no longer see this domain as an option for my site URL. Has something changed or am I doing something wrong?

    Hi there,

    We recently introduced some new free addresses at various .blog domains. Depending on the options you select when creating your site you might see one of them suggested to you instead.

    If you specifically want to use a *.wordpress.com address, skip the first steps in the signup flow asking what your site is about. Then you should see that suggested as the free address once you reach the domain step.
