I don’t know what happened

    I was trying to make a placeholder website. Something real easy and simple, to say ‘This Website Is Under Construction’ and ‘Coming soon :)’ with a background image, that’s it, it shouldn’t be that hard. Then I clicked on something and it transformed itself into a blog, which is NOT what I want.

    I see that your site is hosted by GoDaddy and is using the WordPress.org software. We can provide full support for WordPress.com sites on this forum.     The difference between a blog and a website mainly comes down to the layout of the site. You can have a static homepage on your site to have a website’s layout. If your homepage is displaying the blog posts, you can change it from your site’s Customizer → Homepage Settings → choose “A static page” and select your desired page under the “Homepage” drop-down. Then click Save Changes. That will change what shows up on your homepage.
