I don’t know why this site is added to this account

Hello. I have a stand alone woocommerce installation on my server in London. the website connected to this account should have nothing to do with this wordpress.com account.

I tried adding the official woocommerce plugin Google Listings and Ads – but as many others, the setup failed and I had to give up on it.

Somehow me trying to install Google Listings and Ads on my woocommerce store led me to login on this account, and I see that my domain is added to wordpress.com and I can’t deleted.

Even Jetpack, which I certainly don’t use on my store seems to have been activated on THIS wordpress.com account a few minutes ago.

I don’t have Jetpack installed on my woocommerce. Never had either..

Woocommerce, wordpress.com, wordpress.org, jetpack, connections between the different services etc.. It’s a total and complete MESS!

Can I completely remove everything that has to do with my live woocommerce webshop from this WordPress.com account? And instead set up some subdomain.wordpress.com or something?

I’m not able to delete the domain from wordpress.com, nor can I remove the Jetpack integration from wordpress.com either.

I really don’t understand why my webshop-domain (which have been a LIVE ecommerce store since 2005 is added as a primary domain on my wordpress.com account.)

All I wanted to do was to connect my store to the Google Merchant account by installing the Google listings and Ads plugin – MAN. If I had knew about all the hassle, I would have stayed far away from it..

This is all really VERY confusing.. WordPress.org (Which I use), suddenly connected to WordPress.com, which is supposed to also be connected to woocommerce.com, and the google-account – and then Jetpack is involved, and then Google Listings and Ads install required my shop to be connected to wordpress.com…

WOW… It’s impossible to follow along, unless you are the developer team behind the whole thing. And I am not sure they would understand much either.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi there,

The Google Listings & Ads extension that you’re using requires a connection to both a WordPress.com and a Google account to work. The connection to the WordPress.com account is achieved through the Jetpack plugin.

There’s no need to use WordPress.com to manage your site. Instead, you can keep using your site’s wp-admin dashboard.

If you need help with the Google Listings & Ads extension, you can contact WooCommerce support at https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/ or post in the official support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce

The people over there are familiar with the WooCommerce plugin and its extensions and are in the best position to assist.
