I don't understand how to register my domain

Is there any option to speak to an actual person to help me out? I don’t get forums, I don’t like ‘community help’. Anyone out there with a voice?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no phone support. As bloggers are writers they can follow written instructions.

Your content stays exactly where it is. All that changes is the URLs and your visitors are seamlessly redirected from the original .wordpress.com URLs to the same content under the new domain URLs.

In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own the domain URL.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades to purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. See here if you do not own a domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

After you do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

Thank you for taking the time to assist here. You’ve just met a writer that can’t follow instructions.

That’s unfortunate because reading and reading comprehension are basic literacy skills. Specifically, what do you need help with?

I bet you’re great at building a flat pack.
I wonder how Roald Dahl would have got on with registering a Domain. Or any other of the many dyslexic writers. Or any of the many authors that still won’t touch a computer.

I have learning disabilities and I’m visually challenged but I managed to register a domain for my blogs.

Why don’t you state exactly which domain URL it is that you want to buy?
And why don’t you tell us exactly which step in the domain mapping process that you had trouble with please?

Your responses here are exactly why I don’t like forums.
‘Writers can usually follow instructions’ ‘Reading and reading comprehension are basic literacy skills’ Its not nice. I don’t like it. I crave for the days before all of this. Before everything could be resolved through speaking to ‘community members’ which in itself is ironic because this kind of thing rips the heart out of community. I crave for the days before I had to be put on hold on the phone and listen to automated messages while I wait saying ‘Have you tried going on line?’ ‘You don’t need to talk to us, go online’ ‘Fix your life online’ ‘Do it all online!’ In going on line we’re all going off the point. I quit. Thank you. Good bye.

No. I’m sulking now. I’m under the stairs reading a beano and I won’t be coming out until the world is different.
