  How to change to only use login from wordpress screen

  You can log in with your username if you have set up a separate password for WordPress.com. If you haven’t set up a password, you can do that at https://wordpress.com/me/security

  If you want to disable Google login and ensure users can only log in via the default WordPress login screen, follow these steps :

  Step 1 : Disable Google Login Plugin or Feature

  • Go to your WordPress dashboard.
  • Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
  • Find the plugin that enables Google login (e.g., “Google Apps Login”, “Nextend Social Login”, etc.).
  • Click Deactivate (and optionally Delete it if you won’t use it again).

  Step 2 : Remove Google Login Button from Login Page

  If the button still shows up :

  • Check Appearance > Customize > Login Customizer (if your theme or plugin supports this).
  • Look for any social login options and turn off Google login.

  Step 3 : Ensure Default WordPress Login Works

  Now :

  • Visit yourdomain.com/wp-login.php.
  • You should see the default username/email and password login fields without the Google button.

  Optional : Hide Social Login for Non-Admins

  If you still want social login only for admins or on other pages, consider using a plugin that restricts login options by user role.

  @urvilc24e07a92b you can’t install plugins on the wordpress.com platform unless you upgrade to the Business Plan.
