I don’t want to transfer my domain from GoDaddy – what are my options?

  Why can’t i just build a website with WordPress and then transfer it to goDaddy?

  If you are looking to build a WordPress.com site and use a domain you have registered elsewhere, you can do that via Domain Mapping:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  If you are looking to build a website at WordPress.com and then move that site to hosting with GoDaddy, I wouldn’t advise it. It would be far easier to set up a WordPress site at GoDaddy from that get go. Their support team should be able to help you do that.
